Monash Health, where she continues to empower and facilitate rehabilitation processes through grief and
loss counselling and group work therapy.
Locally, Kristine have experiences in youth work and hospitals across both general and geriatric disciplines.
Her intervention work in rehabilitating youth-at-risk and juvenile probationers had further cemented her focus
on the importance of upstream measures. A youth-at-risk herself, Kristine strongly believes in taking a
preventive approach to build foundations on one’s mental and emotional health as well as social emotional
literacy to engage in a purposeful life with nourishing connections and empathic relationships within
ourselves and with others.
Kristine is trained in Choice Theory and Reality Therapy, Mental Health First Aid, Suicide Prevention and
PACTS (Family Violence). In first quarter of 2020, she identified a service gap and spearheaded Singapore’s
first crisis messaging service. The service saw an increase in demand during the Covid-19 period for
individuals in distress, particularly with teenage and youth’s suicidal ideations. Currently, Kristine provides
training and consulting work to other non-governmental organisations and corporates in setting up similar
message-based service. Kristine also volunteers with the National Care Hotline set up jointly by MSF and
MOH to provide support to callers impacted psychologically or emotionally by Covid-19.

mental health and wellness, social emotional learning, leadership and character development and team
building. Some of her clients include Ministry of Education, Ministry of Law, pre-Ks to universities and global

visit back home. If left untreated, doctors told her she may not survive past a month. After 9 months of high frequency and high-intensive chemotherapy, Kristine defied all odds and went into complete remission in
2018. Today, Kristine runs her own company on the remaining borrowed time she has. Her story goes on to
inspire and to ignite the passion in the lives of others.
